The man, who WBTV agreed not to identify due to the current uncertainty surrounding his legal status, has spent a decade waiting for his permanent resident status to be re-approved. Documents show the man hired Charlotte immigration attorney George N. Miller in 2011 to help him apply for legal permanent resident status in the US. At the time, the man says, he had already lived in the US legally for more than a decade. Instead of obtaining permanent resident status, though, the man’s application was denied,” WBTV reports. Charlotte’s citation score, which captures the number of times a university’s published work is cited by scholars globally, is now second among participating UNC System institutions and among the top 30% of institutions globally,” Inside UNC Charlotte reports. This new pitch, unveiled Tuesday, was part of an initiative from the Club’s Pitches for Progress which plans to install 22 mini-pitches in the Charlotte area and across the Carolinas. These pitches are meant to provide both kids and adults with a safe way to play soccer,” WCNC reports. (WCNC.com)
