Three children and three adults were dead after a shooting at a Nashville school early Monday, a hospital official said.

Three students and three staff members were killed after a woman opened fire at a small private Christian elementary school in Nashville early Monday, a hospital official said.

Officers engaged and killed the shooter at the Covenant School, Nashville police spokesperson Don Aaron said. The shooter was a 28-year-old Nashville woman, police said.
