The Jan. 6 House Committee is scheduled to hold its fifth televised hearing on Thursday. It last met on Tuesday, when the panel investigating the Capitol riot presented evidence detailing the way Donald Trump and his allies pressed state election officials to overturn the 2020 election results.

Officials from Georgia and Arizona testified about threats their families received from the public and witnesses in taped testimony spoke of an apparent scheme by the Trump camp to remove President Joe Biden’s electors and install alternative electors who favored the former president.

Today’s hearing will center on Trump’s alleged attempt to enlist the Department of Justice’s support in reversing the election by replacing former acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen, according to committee Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss. Former acting Deputy Attorney General Richard Donoghue and Rosen will testify.
