WGOLF: Huskies in 5th Place After Round 2 at USA Intercollegiate – Houston Baptist University Athletics

MOBILE, Al.: The Huskies are in fifth place following round two of the USA Intercollegiate taking place in Alabama. They shot 290 in the second round for a total of 578, two-over-par.
Freshman Jackie Nguyen is currently in sixth place with a total of 139, five-under-par. Sophomore Elise Parel is in tenth place shooting at par in the second round.
Here is a look at the Huskies’ scorecard through two rounds:
Sam Houston has moved up to first place after shooting 14-under-par in round two. Middle Tennessee is in second place having shot a total of 568. South Florida and Arkansas State are in third and fourth respectively. They are followed by HBU at 578.
Zulaikah Nasser of Sam Houston and Olivia Schmidt of Arkansas State are tied for first place in individual scores shooting a total of ten-under-par. Third place is currently being held by Middle Tennessee’s Sophie Burks who shot a 68 in both rounds one and two. South Florida’s Melanie Green and Sam Houston’s Jennifer Herbst are tied for fourth followed by Jackie Nguyen of HBU.
The Huskies will finish up with round three on Monday, September 6th.
